In response to the high volume of signups and waitlisted swimmers for July group swimming lessons (Summer Session 1) we would like to announce that priority registration will be given to waitlisted participants from July for August group lessons (Summer Session 2). All spaces not taken by those on the waiting list will be available to the public July 25th-July 28th. We kindly ask that you do not place your participant on a waitlist for a class they are not eligible for.
The following classes are available for registration on the following dates, starting at 6 AM online and in-person.
Otter: ages 3 ½-6 ½ | 4:35-5:05 PM | Tuesday July 25th
Porpoise: ages 3 ½-6 ½ | 4:35-5:05 PM | Wednesday July 26th
Stroke School: ages 6 ½ + | 5:10-5:40 PM & 6:30-7 PM | Thursday July 27th
Moving forward with lessons, we will be staggering registration dates for each class to take place on different days so we can ensure sign ups go smoothly for all.
To enable more participants to participate in group lessons, we will be implementing a new procedure for all upcoming registrations. If your child participates in a session, they will need to wait one round of group lessons to enroll again. This helps ensure more of the community can receive free lessons provided by the Del Norte County Healthcare District and learn critical water safety skills. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as these changes are implemented.
