Crescent City maintains and operates more than 45+ acres of developed and undeveloped parkland. That includes 6 parks/open spaces, B Street pier, and a portion of the California Coastal Trail. We offer year round recreation programs for all ages and abilities at Fred Endert Municipal Pool. We also support year round community events including the July 4th Festival and Sea Cruise Car Show in Beachfront Park. Visitors to our area are welcome to stay at one of the 94 sites at Lighthouse Cove RV Park located within walking distance to downtown, Beachfront Park, the Visitor’s Center and Fred Endert Municipal Pool.
The City of Crescent City believes a healthy and thriving community has access to a variety of recreational activities. In 2019, City of Crescent City created this new department to highlight the city’s dedication to building a community connected to nature, prioritizing active lifestyles and increasing the recreational opportunities for citizens and visitors to our city.
Anything that gets us moving, exploring, creating and learning can greatly enhance our overall quality of life. Science shows that people who take part in park activities such as walking, hiking, or swimming, are healthier and happier. Our goal is to have a healthier and happier
We are excited a about expanding our programs, services and amenities in the coming years.
